  • Act No. 1 of 2001 grants the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour and its offices in the Capital Secretariat and the governorates broad legal powers for the exercise of legal supervision and control over the circumstances and activities of non-governmental associations and institutions.     وقد أعطى القانون رقم (1) لسنة 2001 بشأن الجمعيات والمؤسسات الأهلية لوزارة الشؤون الاجتماعية والعمل ومكاتبها في أمانة العاصمة والمحافظات صلاحيات قانونية واسعة تخولها الحق في الإشراف القانوني والرقابي على أوضاع وأنشطة الجمعيات والمؤسسات الأهلية كما حظر على أي جمعية أو مؤسسة أهلية الحصول على أي مساعدة يمنية أو أموال من الخارج من أي شخص أجنبي أو من جهة أجنبية وكذا أن ترسل شيئاً مما ذكر لأشخاص أو منظمات في الخارج لأغراض إنسانية إلا بعلم وزارة الشؤون الاجتماعية والعمل.
